The Rotary Club of Monticello, is an affiliate of Rotary International, an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Our club was organized in 1923 and is one of the oldest civic organization in Monticello, Arkansas.
Currently, Rotary Club of Monticello has approximately 30 members and growing. Our youngest member is 27 years old; our oldest member has several decades of service. We are entrepreneurs, UAM faculty and staff, doctors, lawyers, investment managers, real estate agents, accountants, bankers, politicians—you name it! Some of our members are “retired” but still very active in their community. Visitors are always welcomed
Rotary Club of Monticello is one of 34,282 Rotary clubs worldwide with over 1.2 million members who are your neighbors, community leaders, and global citizens uniting for the common good. Rotary International brings together leaders from all continents, cultures and occupations who step forward to take on some of the toughest challenges around the world: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies.
Locally, Rotary is committed to service through four identified continual service projects. Over the course of a year, our club's members volunteer their time, money, and resources to serve the children of Drew County through the following service projects: of 1) Drew County Feed the Kids, 2) Judge Clifton Bond Achievement Scholarship, 3) Rotary Literacy Initiative, and 4) Arkansas Mission of Mercy.

How Do I Become a Member of Monticello Rotary?
Please note that membership in a Rotary club is by invitation only. Usually, a person interested in becoming a member is invited by a club member, or sponsor, to attend one or more club meetings to learn more about Rotary and our club. In this case, the sponsor submits the candidate's name to the club's membership committee.
