In 2006, Arkansas State Dental Association set out to impact the lives of the under served by hosting what would become Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ARMOM), a free dental clinic held over two days.
Since is creation, ARMOM has served over 18,000 patents equaling to an estimated $9.5 million of free dental care. The clinic is completely managed by volunteer dentists, nurses, interpreters, and non-professionals (or lay volunteers).
Volunteers from across the state provide free basic dental care to adults and children of all ages on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6:00 a.m. each day for cleanings, fillings and extractions. No income or eligibility requirements are necessary.
ArMOM is organized by the Arkansas State Dental Association and its members. As founding sponsor for the tenth consecutive year, Delta Dental of Arkansas has contributed approximately $1 million dollars towards the two-day dental clinic. We are happy to support this event in an effort to increase access to dental care and improve the oral health of our state.

Monticello has had the amazing opportunity to host ARMOM twice (in 2010 & 2016), thanks to one man, Monticello's own Dr. Tim Chase. Dr. Chase was a local dentist who was active in many groups and organizations over the years; including serving on Monticello's City Council, 2004-present, and serving as Interim Mayor after the passing of his father-in-law Mayor Allen Maxwell, March 2014-July 2014.
Dr. Chase also served the community by coaching youth baseball, softball, and soccer, worked as city pool manger, served on the Industrial Development Committee, Chamber of Commerce Board, the American Cancer Society Board, and Monticello Schools Foundation; to name a few. He continued to be active as a Rotary Club member, serving as a past President, and an active member of Monticello’s First Baptist Church.
His professional dental affiliations include member of the International College of Dentists, American Dental Association, former President of the Southeast District Dental Society, board member of the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners, former President of the Arkansas State Dental Association, Medicaid Task Force, alternate delegate to the ADA Annual Session, and a charter board member of the Arkansas Mission of Mercy where he was the Local Coordinator.
He received many honors and awards in his 53 years; some of the most recent were being named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International and Arkansas State Dental Association's Distinguished Service Award.
In 2016, after Dr Chase's untimely death, Monticello Rotary committed to volunteer and assist with ARMOM.
